About Luke
I am a professional teacher who enjoys building strong connections with the people I work with. I believe learning should be engaging, meaningful, and connected to real-life experiences. When students can see how learning applies to their interests and everyday lives, they are more motivated and confident in their learning.
Throughout my teaching journey, I have worked with students of many different ages, backgrounds, and learning styles. These experiences have helped me develop the ability to adapt my teaching style to meet each learner’s needs.
In addition to my teaching experience, I also have high-level experience in sport. This background has taught me the importance of discipline, perseverance and goal setting. My experience in sport has also given me the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and age groups, helping them develop confidence and resilience.
I strive to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I believe in making mistakes and challenging oneself as part of the learning process.

My method involves meeting the student at their current subject level and identifying a learning style that will assist in working toward future success. By completing a pre-assessment, subject-specific skills can be identified for improvement to meet or exceed expectations. My method of teaching is student-centered and includes discussions and collaboration opportunities to guide students, opposed to teaching "to" students.
