About KAMOGELO

Hello everyone,

My name is Portia, and I am excited to be your instructor for any English-related course. I look forward to working with each of you and helping you build both confidence and skill throughout our time together.

I have 13 years of experience in teaching and lecturing at Sekhukhune TVET College, offering English, Contact center operations, Computer Practice, Management Communication, Entrepreneurship and Business management, Information Processing, Personnel Management, Labor relations, Personnel training, and Mathematics literacy. My goal as an instructor is not only to help you understand the material but also to create a positive and supportive learning environment where everyone feels encouraged to participate and grow.

I believe that learning is most effective when students feel comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and challenging themselves to improve. I am committed to being professional, approachable, and prepared, and I will always do my best to support your success in this course.

About the lesson

I take a student-centered approach to tutoring, focusing on building confidence, understanding, and long-term academic independence rather than memorization alone. Every student learns differently, so I adapt my teaching style, pace, and lesson structure to suit each learner’s goals, strengths, and challenges. My aim is to create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and actively engaging with the material.

What makes my teaching approach unique is the balance between clear explanations, practical application, and interactive learning. I break down complex concepts into manageable steps and use relatable examples, guided practice, and targeted exercises to help students truly understand the subject. I also place strong emphasis on critical thinking, problem-solving, and exam techniques, ensuring students are not only prepared academically but also equipped with effective study habits.

I am proficient in teaching in English and can communicate concepts clearly and professionally to students from different backgrounds. Lessons are conducted in a structured yet flexible manner, allowing room for questions, discussion, and revision of difficult topics whenever needed.
