About Nekaybaw

I am passionate about teaching and have been doing so for 5 years, I have held the position of KS3 coordinator in my current school and also do some work with another company and have been appointed year 6 transition lead. It is important to me that students feel confident enough to be proactive in lessons to get the best out of their time at school. I feel that with an extra bit of tuition students find this confidence and feel more prepared for learning.

About the lesson

I have a personalised assessment-based way of teaching. Using my students' targets, strengths and weaknesses to inform my planning. I am patient, understanding and empathetic. With great subject knowledge and experience with many exam boards. 1hr lessons are usually a good starting point, the first lesson will consist of diagnostics, together we will then agree on some short and long-term targets. I am always interested in school reports to see how the student performs in a more social setting to also see if there are more general things we could also work on: i.e. confidence building around subject knowledge to enable the student to be more active in lessons.
