About Mayuri

I am a qualified teacher (CELTA, PGCE, BA Hons in Business & Management) with experience teaching adults in the community and NHS, including for a charity teaching isolated members of society. I also teach Gujarati speaking students. My lessons are structured, supportive, and engaging, and I have received positive feedback for my clear, patient, and engaging approach. For business professionals whose second language is English. I create customised training packages tailored to each professional’s role and goals, helping them improve workplace communication, English fluency, and confidence. Teaching is something I’m genuinely passionate about. I enjoy helping adults discover their strengths and gain confidence in their abilities. My approach is calm and encouraging, and I believe everyone can learn with the right support. I’m dedicated to creating lessons that are practical, relevant to real life, and tailored to each learner’s needs. I’m a qualified and experienced teacher with experience in NHS settings, charities, and private tutoring, offering face-to-face and online lessons for adults. I teach individuals and can hold a group session. I teach: English & Literacy Basic Mathematics English as a Second Language (ESL) – specialising in business and professional communication Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) My teaching is learner-centred, focusing on each student’s goals, level, and learning style. I use a practical, step-by-step approach that builds confidence and real-world skills. Lessons include interactive activities, discussion, and clear explanations to help learners understand and apply new knowledge immediately. For ESL and business English, I emphasise communication, pronunciation, and workplace language, using real-life scenarios and professional materials. For face-to-face lessons, I offer flexible travel options: a modest travel fee of £2–£5 for students within 10–15 minutes, and a higher fee of £5–£10 (or more) for longer journeys, depending on distance and transport costs.
