About Beth

Pupils' progress is my passion, and I love being a part of the learning journey. I strongly believe that learning can be, and should be, an exciting and enjoyable experience for all children, and that parents and carers should feel confident and happy that their children are fulfilled in their learning. My aim is to provide a bespoke service that will deliver that fulfilment for my pupils, whilst building a strong relationship with both them and their carers. As a parent of three children myself, I understand only too well the educational pressures that can mount in family life, and I value being able to support families by reducing some of that pressure, and inspiring a lifetime love of learning with a bespoke service that stretches and challenges in the right way.

About the lesson

Using a responsive and adaptive approach to cross-curriculum resources, I specialise in understanding individual tutees' interests and needs to enable confident progress across the Primary curriculum (particularly English), as well as developing and refining essay skills for KS3 English and Humanities. Bespoke sessions can include a combination of written and spoken work, incorporating fiction, current affairs and PSHEE material, as well as independent learning skills, longer project tasks, and preparation for school entrance. I have worked as a teacher, TA, tutor, in both the maintained and independent sectors, with pupils at all levels, including Gifted and Talented, and SEND. Lessons normally last 45 minutes, with some flexibility depending on individual circumstances.
