About Grace

I'm a qualified secondary school Maths teacher with 4 years of teaching and tutoring experience and a 2:1 degree in Mathematics. I specialise in GCSE Maths and A-Level Pure Mathematics, with a proven track record of excellent A-Level results from both my classroom students and private tutees.

I'm passionate about making maths understandable and enjoyable, helping students build confidence, overcome challenges and achieve their full potential. My lessons are engaging, supportive and tailored to each student's individual learning needs, whether they're aiming for a pass or the highest grades.

I charge less for GCSE than A level

About the lesson

My lessons are interactive, engaging and focused on building genuine understanding, rather than simply memorising methods. I break down challenging topics into manageable steps, using clear explanations, worked examples and exam-style questions to develop confidence and problem-solving skills.

What Does a Typical Lesson Look Like?

Identify gaps: We begin by reviewing previous learning and identifying areas that need improvement.

Clear explanations: I introduce or revisit topics using step-by-step examples and techniques suited to the student.

Guided practice: We work through questions together, gradually developing independence.

Exam preparation: I incorporate GCSE or A-Level exam-style questions, focusing on exam technique and common mistakes.

Feedback and next steps: We finish by reviewing progress and identifying what to focus on next.

Why Choose My Lessons?

Unlike a one-size-fits-all approach, my tutoring adapts to the student. Whether you're struggling with GCSE foundations, aiming for a grade 9 or tackling challenging A-Level Pure Mathematics, I'll help you progress at a pace that works for you.

Having achieved excellent A-Level results with both my classroom students and private tutees, I know the importance of combining strong subject knowledge with effective teaching strategies.

My aim is simple: to help students become confident, independent mathematicians who walk into their exams feeling prepared and capable of achieving their best.

Grace is a very trustworthy tutor, I have known her for a long time and she shows dedication to her subject knowledge and making sure I have understood by asking me concept questions and allowing me to feel confident in my understanding of maths calculations. Grace also makes me feel comfortable to ask further questions and is patient when explaining new concepts to me. I feel my maths knowledge has significantly increased since working with Grace and I highly recommend her.
