About Teodora
I am a professional linguist holding Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a Level 5 TEFL Diploma alongside my MA and BA qualifications. Over the past 14 years, I have worked continuously within UK public services as a bilingual teacher, community interpreter and translator. This deep experience with educational, medical and legal frameworks allows me to bring high-level, real-world context to my adult teaching practice. I know exactly where non-English speakers struggle and I aim to teach them strategies to overcome their insecurities.

As a native Romanian speaker who successfully mastered the UK professional system, I understand exactly where you get stuck and how to map English grammar onto your native language structures. My lessons are calm, supportive, and focused entirely on practical, real-world speaking skills. I offer the first lesson for free as a chance to get to know you and your specific language learning needs. My main aim is to build up your fluency so speaking will be the main focus of our lessons, without neglecting the other important components of language acquisition: listening, reading and writing. During our sessions, I will make sure to include activities for all four aspects of the language, but if you want our sessions to focus exclusively on one specific skill, I am happy to do so.
