About Celina

I’m a fully qualified UK primary teacher with 12 years of experience teaching across Nursery to Year 6 in London schools. I hold a PGCE in Primary Education, Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and an Enhanced DBS certificate. I also have a BA (Hons) in English Literature & Music, which adds creativity and depth to my teaching approach. I’ve taught the full primary curriculum and supported pupils through phonics, SATs preparation, and literacy and numeracy interventions. My experience includes working closely with children with SEND, including autism and speech and language needs. I’m skilled at adapting lessons to suit individual learning styles and ensuring every child feels seen, supported, and successful. In addition to UK classroom teaching, I have experience teaching English abroad in Nicaragua and delivering engaging online lessons. Many of my pupils have had English as an additional language, and I use targeted strategies and resources to help them build fluency and access the curriculum confidently. Whether your child needs help catching up, stretching their learning, or growing in confidence, I provide calm, personalised tutoring that supports real progress — and makes learning enjoyable too.
