About Lowri

Hello! I’m Lowri, a passionate and qualified primary school teacher with over three years of classroom experience and a deep commitment to helping children reach their full potential. As a private tutor, I bring professionalism, understanding, and a unique perspective to every session, creating an inspiring and supportive learning environment. Learning has always been a journey for me. I was diagnosed with dyslexia four years ago, which shed light on the challenges I faced throughout my own education. While I struggled with traditional methods, I discovered creative and effective ways to overcome obstacles and thrive. This experience fuels my passion for tutoring—I understand the frustration children can feel when learning is difficult, and I know how to guide them towards success in ways that work for them. I specialise in working with children aged 5-11 (KS1 and KS2), tailoring my lessons to suit each child’s unique needs and learning style. My sessions are dynamic, engaging, and designed to build confidence. Whether it’s mastering tricky maths concepts, improving reading and writing skills, or understanding phonics, I help children approach challenges with positivity and determination. When I’m not teaching, you’ll find me enjoying long walks, exploring new places through travel, or spending time with my dog—I’m definitely a dog person! I’m also a lifelong learner who loves discovering new skills and knowledge. Despite my struggles with learning growing up, I’ve embraced the mindset that there’s always another way to learn and grow—a lesson I pass on to my students every day.

About the lesson

My sessions are tailored to each child’s unique learning style, combining engaging activities, interactive resources, and positive reinforcement to build confidence and make learning enjoyable. I focus on breaking down complex concepts into manageable steps, ensuring children feel supported every step of the way. I offer flexible sessions of 30 minutes or 1 hour, designed to maximise focus and productivity while maintaining a fun and engaging environment. I am a qualified primary teacher with 3 years of classroom experience and over a year of private tutoring. I specialise in supporting children aged 5-11 (KS1 and KS2) in Maths, English, Reading, Writing, and Phonics. My lessons are perfect for children needing extra support, whether catching up, boosting confidence, or extending learning. I cater to both school-going and home-educated children.
