About Joe

I am a qualified primary school teacher with a PGCE, and I have spent several years working with children, particularly in Year 5, where I’ve had the privilege of helping students build the foundational skills they need for future success. My teaching philosophy is centred around creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where every child can thrive. I believe that learning should be a fun, engaging, and empowering experience, and I aim to help students feel confident in their abilities while also challenging them to grow. I want to teach because I am passionate about helping young minds unlock their full potential. Over the years, I’ve seen how personalised support can make a real difference in a child’s academic progress and self-esteem. Preparation is vital, and I provide structured lesson plans aligned with the curriculum, whether it’s for SATs, the 11+, or other areas of focus. I also help students develop effective study strategies and exam techniques, equipping them with the tools they need to perform their best under pressure. Finally, I believe in maintaining open and clear communication with parents. I keep them informed of their child’s progress and provide practical advice on how to support their learning at home, ensuring we work together to achieve the best results.
