About Kano
Hello! I’m a qualified and passionate teacher with experience teaching, Senior Phase Mathematics and Natural Sciences, and FET Phase Physical Sciences and Life Sciences. I enjoy helping learners understand difficult concepts in a simple and practical way while building their confidence in the classroom.
Every learner is different, so I adapt my teaching style to suit each student’s pace, learning style and goals. Whether you’re preparing for tests, examinations, improving your marks, or simply trying to understand challenging topics, I’m committed to helping you succeed.
I create a supportive, patient and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and making mistakes, because that’s how real learning happens.

My lessons are learner-centred, interactive and structured focusing mainly on the fundamentals of concepts.
I begin by identifying the student’s strengths and areas that need improvement. From there, I explain concepts step by step from the foundation using clear examples before practising together with worked examples and exam-style questions.
During lessons I:
Explain concepts in simple, easy-to-understand language.
Use CAPS-aligned content, IEB-aligned content and past examination questions where appropriate.
Teach problem-solving techniques rather than memorisation.
Provide regular feedback to monitor progress.
Adjust lessons to match each learner’s individual needs and learning pace.
My goal is not only to improve marks but also bridge the gap between the foundation and current content to help learners become confident and independent.
