About Dale

Hello and welcome! My name is Dale, and I teach English to Business and Technical Professionals. I offer lessons in several key areas, including Business English, Technical English (Facilities Maintenance, Construction, Electricians, Plumbers), English for Oil and Gas Professionals, English for Mining Professionals, Aviation English, Maritime English. I have a National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, a Restricted Radio License, I achieved a Class 4 Foreign Going Certificate of Competency, and I hold a Level 5 TEFL Diploma. I have over 25 years of senior management experience in the Mining, Oil & Gas, Facilities Management, and Marine environments.

Recognizing that every learner has different requirements, I adjust my approach according to each individual’s needs.

From the very beginning, we will assess your English proficiency, learning style, and professional needs. This evaluation enables me to design lessons that are both engaging and relevant to achieving your goals and dreams.

A common pain point is using English in real-world business contexts. Therefore, I focus on building competence and confidence for meetings, presentations, interviews, and conferences. We will also cover how to write effective emails and communicate with assurance during business travel.

Drawing on more than 25 years of business management experience and cultural insights gained from working in over 20 countries, I provide practical examples and scenarios to support learning.

Flexibility is central to my teaching method. As we progress, I am willing to adapt our approach to match your learning pace or address specific challenges.
