About Margarita
My name is Margarita, I come from Bogota, Colombia, and I currently reside in Leicester.
I hold a BA (Hons) degree in International Studies and I am a qualified teacher of MFL from Marjon College, Plymouth. My passion lies in teaching my native language, where I've had the chance to create a positive and immersive language environment to foster language acquisition and proficiency.
Professionally, I have 15 years of experience in teaching. I find joy in helping my students to achieve their language learning goals.
When I am not teaching, you can often find me walking in the town centre, enjoying a good coffee, or hiking in nature. I am also a healthy living enthusiast and I believe in maintaining a healthy mind and body for my overall wellbeing.

I am a qualified teacher of Modern Foreign Languages and native Spanish speaker from Colombia, South America. With years of experience teaching languages to children and adults, my methodology often involves a combination of approaches, tailored to the needs and preferences of the learners.
We may focus on emphasizing communication as both the goal and the means of learning to use the language in real-life situations, through activities such as role-plays, discussions, games, and problem-solving tasks. For advanced students we focus on immersion in the target language, minimizing the use of the learner's native language. For beginners, we focus on repetition and drilling of language patterns, emphasizing oral skills.
