About Vic
I am a fully qualified secondary mathematics teacher with an MSc in Mathematics and over 10 years of teaching experience, including 5 years in the classroom and 5 years as a private tutor. I have taught KS3, GCSE, A Level and Further Mathematics across the Edexcel, AQA and OCR exam boards.
What I enjoy most about teaching is seeing that moment when something finally clicks and a student thinks, “I get it now!” Whether a student has lost confidence in maths, is working towards the highest grades, studying A Level or Further Maths, or is learning through home education, I enjoy helping them understand the ‘why’ behind the maths and build confidence along the way.
I adapt my teaching to each student's individual needs, starting from where they are and working towards their goals. For me, successful tutoring isn't just about getting the right answer — it's about helping students develop the understanding and confidence to tackle maths independently.

My lessons are supportive, encouraging and designed around the individual student. My aim is to make maths feel more accessible, manageable and rewarding, while adapting my teaching to suit each student's individual goals, strengths and learning style.
I do not believe in simply showing students a method and asking them to copy it. Instead, I help students understand why mathematics works by breaking ideas down, exploring problems from different perspectives and encouraging them to think for themselves. Once students truly understand a topic, their confidence and exam results follow.
