About Dajana

I’m a fully qualified Maths teacher with QTS, a BSc (Hons) in Mathematics, and a PGCE from the University of Sunderland. I currently work as a Mathematics Lecturer by day, and I bring both classroom and 1-to-1 tutoring experience to my students — helping them thrive in their studies and achieve real results.

With several years of teaching experience across KS3, GCSE, and A-Level, I have a proven track record of helping students maximise their potential, boost their confidence, and succeed in their exams. Many of my students have gone on to surpass their target grades — a result of carefully tailored, engaging, and effective lessons.

My approach is warm, friendly, and easygoing, but always focused on high standards and progress. I believe strong relationships are the foundation of successful tutoring, and I pride myself on creating a positive, supportive learning environment where students feel safe to ask questions, challenge themselves, and grow.

About the lesson

Every student learns differently — and that’s exactly where my teaching begins. I don’t believe in one-size-fits-all tutoring. Instead, I adapt my approach to each individual’s strengths, learning style, confidence level, and goals.

I personalise every session to suit the student’s current level and learning needs. Whether they need a boost in confidence, help mastering core topics, or a push to tackle higher-level content, I adjust my methods to ensure real progress.

I use practical, everyday examples to bring abstract maths concepts to life. This helps students connect with the material more easily — and see maths as both meaningful and manageable.

Developing Independent Thinkers
Through carefully guided questioning, I help students develop strong problem-solving skills and mathematical reasoning. Rather than just giving answers, I support them in finding solutions on their own — building confidence and independence.

Interactive, Student-Led Learning
I often ask students to “teach back” what they’ve learned — a powerful method that strengthens understanding, reinforces memory, and sharpens communication skills. It's also an excellent revision technique.

I introduce higher-level exam questions early on — in a supportive way — so students become familiar and comfortable with the most challenging content long before exam season. I also share smart, time-saving strategies to help them perform under pressure.

Perfect! Dajana's GCSE lesson was great observe. Very practical Her Physics knowledge is excellent. . My son was working on his GCSE exam questions and she was able to correct him, she made a quick assessment of his knowledge and had a plan for him to improve from day 1, which is good for him. Her use of whiteboard annotation is an extension to the learning and she sent the whiteboard notes to the students after the lesson, so they can refer to. She is very knowledgeable on the subject as a whole. My son felt confident and comfortable with her lesson. I fully recommend her.
