About Maia
I currently teach GCSE Maths in a secondary school and have experience supporting students of all abilities to build confidence and achieve their goals. I chose to become a teacher because I love helping students overcome challenges and realise that maths doesn’t have to be scary. My aim is to create a calm, supportive and encouraging learning environment where every student feels comfortable asking questions and making mistakes. Whether you’re aiming to pass your GCSE or achieve Grades 7 or 8, I’ll tailor lessons to suit your individual needs and help you reach your full potential.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s needs, whether they’re preparing for exams, catching up on missed content or aiming for top grades. I focus on developing understanding rather than memorising methods, using clear explanations, worked examples and plenty of exam-style practice. Having worked with a wide range of learners, including those with SEND and students lacking confidence, I create a supportive environment where questions are always encouraged. My goal is to help every student leave each lesson feeling more confident and capable in maths.
