About Stephen
I'm a qualified school teacher with experience teaching science, mathematics and statistics to students from primary and secondary schools. I was formerly a full-time university physics tutor for 5 tears and able to teach undergraduate-level physics for life sciences and engineering programme students.
My approach is supportive and personalised, aiming to build a deep understanding of the subject in addition to developing effective study skills for independent learning.

Lessons can proceed face-to-face or entirely online, where I make use of online whiteboards, webcam etc. Lessons are carefully planned to be as helpful as possible.
I encourage conceptual understanding and linking of new concepts/facts to students' prior knowledge and experiences. Problem solving skills are developed by guiding student practice with ample feedback.
