About Francesca

I am a qualified linguist, translator and interpreter in English/Italian/Spanish/German. I hold a degree in Applied Languages and a MA International Relations, both awarded by the University of Portsmouth. I have been tutoring languages for over 5 years, proving professionalism, reliability, and accountability. All students have been happy with my teaching method, and have made positive progress.

About the lesson

Since I began tutoring, I have always adopted a structured teaching methodology. In order to learn a language, students need to have a holistic exposure to the language - including writing, grammar, listening and speaking. Each lesson will be composed of an explanation section, followed by a practical part - both written and oral. Vocabulary will also be taught on a regular basis, as part of each class. I tend to give some homework to my students, although these are voluntary. Depending on the language level and the age of the students, the weight of the activities will vary. For example, should a student be a child, games and fun activities i.e. songs, rhymes etc would be included.

Perfect! Very focused but at the same time relaxed approach - Francesca is friendly and organised, I always look forward to the classes with her and I know I will learn something and be guided well / she takes a great lead. I do appreciate the meeting in person option a lot, too. : ))!

Perfect! Francesca is brilliant! She has adapted her German lessons to suit my needs (and my very bad memory). She is very patient, friendly and knowledgeable. I’m really enjoying the lessons on zoom and do feel I’m making progress. I would highly recommend her!
