About Fleurian

I am a qualified UK lecturer with a Level 7 PGCE in Post-Compulsory Education and a First Class Honors degree in Zoology. I have over four years of experience in further education, teaching Biology and Animal Management, delivering structured curriculum content, and designing full schemes of work, lesson sequences and intensive revision programs of up to 10 hours per week on challenging topics.

My teaching approach is structured, clear and highly adaptable. I specialize in breaking down complex scientific concepts and terminology into logical, accessible steps. I often use etymology-based explanations to help students understand and retain key biological language more effectively, rather than relying on memorization alone.

Students consistently describe my teaching as patient, supportive and reassuring, particularly when they need additional confidence or guidance. I aim to create a calm learning environment where learners feel comfortable asking questions and developing a deep understanding at their own pace.

I support secondary school, college and adult learners across Biology and related science subjects, including exam preparation, coursework support and scientific writing.

I am a native French speaker and have a strong passion for languages and communication. I understand first-hand the challenges of learning a new language, as I have independently learned English and Italian myself. This experience allows me to share practical, real-world strategies that genuinely work, rather than purely academic approaches.

My teaching focuses on building confidence in speaking, improving comprehension, and developing vocabulary and grammar in a natural, structured way. I aim to make language learning feel achievable and enjoyable, even for learners who may have struggled before.

I support beginners through to higher level learners, helping them progress steadily while building real communication skills and confidence in everyday use.

About the lesson

My lessons are fully personalized and adapted to each learner’s goals, confidence level and way of learning. I use a supportive, structured and flexible teaching approach, combining explanations, active discussion, visual learning, practice questions and real-world examples to help students truly understand concepts rather than simply memorizing them.

I have over 4 years of teaching experience and currently work as a lecturer in Animal Management and Biology-related subjects. I hold a First Class Honors degree in Zoology and a postgraduate teaching qualification (Level 7 PGCE). I am also trained to support learners with learning difficulties, disabilities and neurodivergent learning profiles, ensuring lessons remain accessible, engaging and adapted to individual needs.

Lessons are available for secondary school, college, university support and adult learners aged 12+. Sessions can range from focused 1-hour lessons to longer 3–4 hour study or revision sessions depending on the learner’s needs and objectives.
