About Maphuti Vivian

I am a dedicated Language practitioner, teaching has always been my dream and I have always believed that I am called to help those in need. My intentions in teaching are to help students be the best and at the end of the day see themselves as winners. I am very patient and very keen.

About the lesson

If you are suffering from any part of Sepedi as a language I can help. Grammar, pronunciation, reading and also writing including all the basics in the language I can help you become the best. Sepedi is my home language and I have always been a top student in it since high school. Let me help you know the language and understand it best.

Mmakgoshi Maanyaku Thulare. The Queen mother of Bapedi Nation.
Is there a typical word, phrase, tradition or behaviour in the language that you particularly like?
Motho ke Motho ka batho.
Why does speaking this language matter to you?
Speaking Sepedi is important to me because it's my mother tongue and it is one language I never want to see disappearing because it's a beautiful culture with norms, idioms and proverbs.
What is the main difficulty in learning this language, and what can help students with the learning process?
Dika le diema they often become difficult for students to learn because we have so many in the language. So for my students to learn them better I get books that explains them, I teach them and explain them better and easy for them.
Could you share an anecdote related to your language learning or your student days?
I get lesson requests from different students from different levels. What's interesting is that I make them fall in love with the language qas they as they often believe that Sepedi is a difficult language to learn. I make sure that I break the language lessons in simple and easy way so that they can enjoy the lesson and learn the language.
How has travel or a specific experience helped you to increase your understanding and appreciation of the language?
The Sepedi language is an important language as no parent would want their children to forget their mother tongue. It has a very good culture that teaches a human how to associate with people.
