About Lana

As a teacher, I understand the pressure GCSE students experience to achieve the highest grade possible. Therefore, I will provide a relaxed and safe environment where we can work together to enhance and improve your knowledge and exam skills using the range of resources I have to hand.

About the lesson

My classes will typically run for an hour and during that time we would focus on any areas of the topic my students were struggling with. This could include content or exam practice.
I am a qualified History teacher with good knowledge of the AQA and WJCE exam boards. I am currently teaching Elizabethan England, Germany 1890-1945, Conflict and Tension 1918-1939, and Health and Medicine through time.
I will typically offer History tutoring to KS3 and GCSE pupils of all abilities. I also teach English to students at KS3 and can also tutor students on their reading comprehension, writing and speaking

Perfect! Lana is helping my daughter, Lily, with History GCSE prep. Lana always comes to Lily's lessons really well-prepared: according to Lily, it's clear that she's put in a lot of extra time and work specifically for her. I feel that we are getting huge benefit from the fact that Lana is a teacher by profession so she is really familiar with the History GCSE requirements so that Lily is making rapid progress. Lily is not easily impressed, but Lana has really impressed her with her friendliness, hard work and knowledge. I have also noticed that Lily's confidence has increased, as well as her ability and knowledge. Thank you Lana!
