About Jade

I graduated from Sheffield Hallam University with a Master degree in Teaching English as Second Language. Starting since 2014, I have wide range of teaching experience to students of different age and backgrounds, from kindergarten to working adults and SEND children. I am specialised in both English language and English competence teaching. I am also skilful in lesson/course design, classroom management, and parent engagement. My work is a combination of my passion in language teaching, my insight in language learning motivation and competences of students as unique individuals.

About the lesson

I tailor my lesson based on students' outcome expectation and student's competence. Before the first lesson, my students are require to take an entrance test designed by myself so that I can understand their level. Moving forward, the content of the lessons will include:
- For IELTS: Listening, writing, reading and speaking methods and practice. Mock-test will be taken once a month.
- For English communication: Speaking tips, pronunciation, vocabulary by topics, practice 1-1 with native speaker, and sentence structures.
- Academic English: formality in English, essay writing practice and research/thesis writing for university students.
- Other bespoke contents based on students' requirement.
