In my current role, I am adept at creating and modifying lessons that follow the Tiered Differentiation model. I also adhere to l teaching by 'backward design'. My pedagogy centers around explicitly teaching students of various abilities, and providing them with access to the curriculum through the Ubd model of teaching.
Additionally, I am an experienced educator of the English language and have had experience tutoring a range of students in English in their senior year. I provide tailored resources according to the modules they need the most support in.
Lesson Outline Years 7-12: The lessons for junior years will follow a scope and sequence of the following:
-Context
-Language features
-Mastering the technicalities of the English language using appropriate form and grammar according to the purpose of the text.
-An understanding of purpose and audience.
-Assessment preparation
-T.E.E.L. paragraph structure and a focus on appropriate syntax.
Lesson Outline: Years 11-12 Standard and Advanced English:
-Context of the common module and Modules A, B and C.
-A deeper understanding of appropriate language forms and features of certain texts.
-Additional resources to supplement students' understanding of context, audience, purpose and text type.
-A strong focus on improvement with a outcome-based approach.
-Modules A and B-live scaffolding of essays.
-Module C-Scaffolding of persuasive, discursive and imaginative.
