I’m a qualified engineer with a strong academic background and a passion for education. After years of working in industry, I decided to shift towards teaching to share my knowledge and help others succeed in maths. I understand that many students find subjects like algebra or trigonometry challenging, and my goal is to make them more approachable, enjoyable, and manageable. I bring professionalism, patience, and enthusiasm to every lesson. With postgraduate degrees and experience supporting learners of different ages and abilities, I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel confident to ask questions, make mistakes, and grow. My approach to tutoring is student-centred and focused on building confidence through clear explanations, step-by-step problem solving, and real-life examples. I tailor each lesson to the student’s learning style and pace, ensuring they fully understand each concept before moving on. I use a mix of visual aids, practice questions, and interactive discussion to keep sessions engaging and effective. Lessons typically last 60 minutes, with flexibility based on individual needs. I hold a Master’s degree in Engineering and another in Management, and I have experience supporting learners in secondary school (National 5, Higher) as well as adult learners refreshing their maths skills. My lessons are ideal for secondary school students (ages 12–18) preparing for National 5, Higher, or GCSE-level maths, and for adults who want to strengthen their understanding in algebra, geometry, or trigonometry.
