About Paula

I am a fully qualified Chartered Accountant, with over 6 years experience at a Big 4 firm in External Audit having worked in the UK, US and South Africa offices. My portfolio includes a wide range of experience across industries and projects. This includes managing large teams which required continuous training and mentorship of team members completing their ACCA and ACA.

My key strength is the ability to take complex scenarios and make them easy to understand. I have a passion for seeing students reach their maximum potential. In order to do this I am able to digest the student’s course material and exercises that they are struggling with, and then teach them back to the student to ensure they fully grasp the principles involved. My approach is to request that the student shares the course material that the would like help with (be it class notes or previous tests) 3 days prior to the session in order for me to tailor the session to the students needs.

I am very patient and committed to my students. Therefore, I try to be flexible and the methodology/approach will be agreed with the student on our first call.

All levels up to university level i.e. 10+, 11+, 13+, GCSE, A-Level, Degree

Sessions are conducted via Zoom, Microsoft Teams or Skype.

About the lesson

I will tailor my lessons to the students needs while ensuring that they feel that they are in a comfortable environment to learn. My approach is to focus on understanding the concept as opposed to simply understanding the answer to the question.

My extensive experience will help to bring flavour to concepts that are difficult to imagine without real world experience.

Topics include, but are not limited to:

- Basic Accounting principles (for beginners)
- Financial Accounting
- Management Accounting, incl cash flows
- Corporate Finance
- External Auditing
