About Paul

Having graduated from University College Dublin with a BSc. in Theoretical Physics I moved to Bristol to train to be a teacher in the University of the West of England. Like you, I have found the British education system to be unsatisfactory so now I am working independently as a private tutor to make things better for the students I work with.

My recent experience extends from KS1 students struggling to engage with the early stages of maths lessons, to high ability students who needed help getting 9s in their Science and Maths GCSEs and beyond to A-Level students looking to get into the best University possible.

About the lesson

I believe that people learn best when they aren't aware that they are learning, personally I learned to read so well through playing videogames. Learning through fun is often the best way to learn by accident. As such I centre my lessons around competition and games where possible.

Perfect! I had thought I had already provided feedback from the lesson..... Paul is very clearly a highly experienced and knowledgeable teacher who is motivated and loves what he does. My daughter however has complex SEND issues and has difficulty engaging with people at the best of times, let alone teaching staff. I wish Paul the very best with his teachings. In this instance it simply wasn't a match.

Mr.Mulrennan is a very experienced tutor that is brilliant with kids. He has helped a wide age range of students (7-17 years old) improve their maths and science. One of his current students has gone from a grade 1 to a grade 5 in both maths and science. He is a trustworthy, kind and honest man. I would highly recommend him.
