About Patricia
I'm a published writer of three books of short stories, and a highly experienced instructor of English and Creative Writing with over 30 years of teaching experience. I'm also a professional editor, comfortable in working one-on-one with writers at every level. I will meet you where you are in your abilities, gearing lessons to your specific needs. I also aim to make lessons fun and engaging, creating a safe and positive environment in which to learn. (P.S. If you like dogs, that's a plus :)

The lessons I teach are highly interactive, designed to engage and stimulate students. I encourage discussion and questions rather than lecturing. I bring my passion for both creative and academic writing to every class. A typical lesson plan for creative writing includes explanation of a particular writing technique, writing prompts, and discussion of students' own work. I offer lessons for all levels of ability, and can also tailor my lessons to your specific needs (e.g., bachelor's or master's degree courses, high school from grades 7 to 12, and individuals wishing to improve their own writing abilities).
