About AUBREE
I hold a bachelors degree in English Writing, and an MFA in Creative Writing. My poetry and prose has been published in multiple literary journals, and I have taught approximately 200 university and adult non-traditional students.
My students are challenged to think critically, write recursively, and apply their skills to any future career.
Experience in editing and proofreading, poetry, one-on-one tutoring, resume writing, and the teaching of College Preparatory English, Composition I, and Composition II.

I teach AP high school students and university students. This includes adult non-traditional learners as well.
My methods of instruction revolve around the process of writing: invention, outline, drafting, applying feedback, final draft. The application for each assignment may vary, but the steps taken to reach a final product are the same.
I also incorporate outside essays and articles as a way to enhance a student's critical thinking skills and reading comprehension. It's vital for a student to be able to interact with a text--both for practical application in real-world situations and for marinating in the work of other, more experienced writers.
