About Austyn
I’m a psychology graduate and educator who genuinely enjoys helping people make sense of complicated ideas. I have a BA in Psychology from the United States and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from New Zealand, along with experience teaching and mentoring learners in classroom, group, and one-to-one settings.
I teach because I enjoy that moment when something that seemed confusing suddenly clicks. I’m particularly interested in psychology, learning, development, health, and human behavior, and I enjoy adapting explanations to the person I’m actually talking to rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach.
Whether you need help understanding a difficult psychology concept, want to explore a topic more deeply, or simply learn better through conversation, I’m happy to meet you where you are.

I take a conversational, student-centered approach to tutoring. My goal isn't simply to give you an answer, but to help you understand why something works so that you can apply it yourself. I have a Master’s in Educational Psychology from New Zealand and a BA in Psychology from the United States, along with experience teaching and mentoring learners in both classroom and one-to-one settings.
I’m particularly comfortable helping students make sense of psychology, health, learning, development, and human behavior. I’m happy working with students who are completely new to a topic as well as those who want to explore concepts in greater depth. My approach is informal, practical, and adapted to the individual student—sometimes that means structured teaching, and sometimes it means sitting down and talking through a confusing concept until it finally clicks.
