About Dimpho

I am a Psychology and Political Sciences student at the University of Pretoria. Before I commenced with my studies worked as a child facilitator at a preschool and community center teaching critical life skills to children, this includes English literacy lessons. I then worked in Germany at a home for the mentally and physically frail for one year, where I took german lessons. I tutor High school students in my free time to date. All in all, I have tutoring experience of relatively three years.

About the lesson

My method of teaching is to always gauge what my class or clients need most and what they are mostly good at. I use the incentive method where I would go through the more difficult material and then follow it up by simpler work, this gives my clients a confidence boost and more enthusiasm in terms of being motivated to learn further because if one feels incapable they might retract. An so I base my lessons on the primary needs of my clients as well as simplifying the world through illustrations and interactions to keep the class or clients in contact with the work, this avoids distance between the clients and the subject. Allowing individuals to apply the skills or work that they did effectively.
