About Monica

Hello, my name is Monica! I have a strong background in psychological science. I graduated from the University of Adelaide, where I developed a passion for the intricacies of the human mind and mental health.

My psychology degree has equipped me with valuable skills - I possess a deep understanding of psychological theory and its practical application. This foundation enables me to approach each individual's needs with empathy and expertise. Through active listening and effective communication, I create a safe and supportive environment where individuals can openly express their concerns and challenges. Overall, it has made me a compassionate and capable teacher who is dedicated to helping individuals in their journey towards better education and overcoming challenges.

I am currently pursuing a Master of Teaching degree with a specialisation in psychological science, English literature and Media studies. This additional education enhances my expertise.

During my spare time, I indulge in my love for reading, exploring Adelaide's local bakeries to find the best croissants, and expressing my creativity through art. These activities provide me with balance and inspiration, allowing me to bring a fresh perspective to my work. My friends describe me as someone who radiates positivity, bubbly, patient, and empathetic.

About the lesson

As a tutor, I employ various teaching techniques and methodologies to ensure effective learning. These may include:
personalisation, visual aids, feedback, adaptation, practice and application & interaftive learning.

I have a graduate degree is psychological science, and I am currently studying master degree in teaching, which includes extensive training in pedagogy, curriculum development, and educational psychology. My majors are psychology, English, Media studies and my specialisation is inclusive education.

My lessons are designed for a wide range of students, from year 7 to undergraduate-level study in the field of psychology, English & Media studies. I can provide tutoring in various subjects and adapt my teaching methods to meet the specific needs and proficiency levels of the students within this range.
