About Tallulah

Hi! I’m Tallulah, and I’m currently completing a postgraduate degree in Psychology (Counselling Studies), having previously completed an undergraduate degree in Psychology and the International Baccalaureate Diploma.

Having studied in an international school environment myself, I understand the demands of the IB and the challenges that can come with balancing different subjects, assessments and exam preparation. I’m particularly passionate about Psychology and English and enjoy helping students become more confident in subjects that they may initially find challenging.

Alongside my academic background, I have experience working with young people and hold Mental Health First Aid training. I aim to create a friendly, professional and comfortable environment where students feel able to ask questions, make mistakes and learn without feeling judged.

I’m reliable, patient and genuinely invested in helping my students make progress. Whether you are looking for regular academic support, help preparing for exams, or simply want to strengthen your understanding of a subject, I’m happy to tailor lessons to your individual goals.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring is personalised, encouraging and focused on helping students understand why something works, rather than relying on memorisation. I adapt each lesson to the student’s individual needs, whether they need help building their confidence, understanding difficult topics, improving their written work or preparing for exams.

For Psychology, I can help students understand key theories and research, develop strong evaluation skills, structure essays and improve their exam technique. I particularly focus on helping students move beyond simply describing studies and instead develop the analytical and critical-thinking skills needed to achieve higher marks.

For English, I can support students with essay writing, reading comprehension, literary analysis, grammar, argument structure and exam preparation. I can work with both IB and non-IB students, tailoring lessons to their particular syllabus, level and assessment requirements.

Lessons are typically 60 minutes, although longer sessions can be arranged where useful. I usually combine clear explanations with discussion, examples, guided practice and exam-style questions, allowing students to actively apply what they have learned. I also encourage students to ask questions and work through problems themselves, as I believe this builds stronger understanding and independence.

I am currently completing my undergraduate degree in Psychology, giving me a strong and up-to-date academic foundation in the subject. Having studied in an international school environment myself, I also understand the demands of different academic systems and the transition between IB and non-IB education.

I am happy to work with students from secondary school through to GCSE, A-level and IB, including students who simply want to strengthen their existing skills and those who may need more structured support. My goal is not just to help students achieve better grades, but also to make them feel more confident and capable in their subjects.
