About Riya
Hello and welcome! My name is Riya, and I’m a passionate educator with over 5 years of teaching experience across a wide range of learners: from young children to adults, including individuals with special needs. I believe that everyone has the potential to learn and grow, no matter their background, age, or ability. My teaching approach is inclusive, patient, and tailored to the unique needs of each student. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with diverse groups, which has helped me develop flexible strategies and compassionate communication skills that make learning both effective and enjoyable. Whether you're a complete beginner, a student with learning differences, or an adult returning to education, I’m here to support you every step of the way. My goal is to create a safe and encouraging environment where you feel confident, valued, and motivated to achieve your goals. I teach in order to maximise retention and understanding. I'm set apart by the fun activities I incorporate such as trivia, role-plays and youtube videos. My lessons are adaptable for people from all backgrounds and demographics! I teach both Psychology and English, and have specialised curricula for each.
