About Sara

I am a psychology and child development graduate who has previous experience and knowledge with tutoring, as well as having classroom experience (in a high school). My aim is to encourage and inspire students to learn, grow, and achieve. I teach in a personalised approach which is best suited for the learner and ensures that students achieve the best possible outcome. I not only want to help students reach their academic goals, but to also support them to acquire useful skills which would benefit them in daily life. I have always had a passion for teaching and thrived off helping others reach their goals. My familiarity with GCSE and A-level psychology, as well as gaining a first class in my degree, ensures that I have the right mindset, knowledge and skills to support students through their academic journey.

About the lesson

My lessons are adapted to individual needs. It is important to me to get to know my students, so I am able to design and structure the lessons in such a manner in which my students are fully engaged and learning effectively and efficiently. I can assist psychology students in various areas: learning the content, practising exam questions, motivational techniques, tips for exam and revision, and organisation/planning. I like to test and discuss previous lessons/topics with my students to encourage them to remember and further learn information, as well as for me to see their progression. When appropriate, I will hand out homework to encourage practice, reflection, and revision. The homework will be marked, and the corrections would be completed together in the following lesson.
