About Fernanda

Kia ora, I’m Nandita (Fernanda) — a visual artist, filmmaker, and educator. I use art as a bridge to presence, self-discovery, and well-being.
Originally from Argentina and based in Aotearoa since 2018, my practice centers on collage — a medium that connects us with the present moment and unveils what lies beneath the surface. I consider creating images a fundamental way of inhabiting the world — a practice through which we perceive, relate, and transform our surroundings.
I studied Cinema and Visual Arts, and later specialized in paper-based techniques with Arte Andarín. I’m also a certified Life Coach in New Zealand, integrating mindfulness and coaching into my creative work.

About the lesson

In my collage lessons, we explore composition, color, visual storytelling, and personal expression. Through experimentation with different materials and techniques, I help students develop their creativity, mindfulness, and discover their own artistic voice. Collage is a wonderful medium for learning to observe differently, stay present in the creative process, connect ideas, and transform images into meaningful visual narratives.
