About Elise

I am an enthusiastic guitar tutor with 18 years of experience teaching students from high school, college, and older adults. Over the 18 years, I have taught approximately 150–200 students, helping each one discover the joy and satisfaction of playing the guitar. My teaching approach focuses on personalized guidance, practical exercises, and positive reinforcement, ensuring that students learn at their own pace while staying motivated. I have had the privilege of preparing students for recitals, performances, and personal milestones, and I find it incredibly rewarding to watch their confidence grow with every lesson. I believe that music is more than notes and chords—it is a journey of creativity, discipline, and self-expression. My goal is to inspire students to embrace this journey, develop their skills, and experience the lasting joy of making music.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for Guitar is simple, supportive, and based on real-life learning. I believe guitar lessons should be enjoyable and easy to understand. I use real songs and common playing examples to explain concepts clearly.

Case studies are used to show how guitarists solve common problems. Problem-solving techniques help students improve coordination, timing, and tone. Each challenge is handled patiently to build confidence.

Motivation is encouraged through positive feedback and small goals. Integrity is important to me, and I provide honest guidance at every stage. My flexible approach allows lessons to change based on learning speed and musical interest. In addition to Guitar, I also teach basic theory, rhythm training, and simple music reading.
