I have worked as a behavioral therapist for almost 10 years. During this time, I have developed a warm, professional demeanor that clients find both comforting and supportive. This experience lends me a unique perspective as a tutor, meaning I will work hard to ensure that though the work is challenging, you or your loved one will feel supported and reassured every step of the way. Hi! My name is Andi. I have worked as an after-school tutor for many years, and my areas of expertise are reading and writing. I have worked in the mental health field my entire career, which sets me apart from other tutors. I am a calming, cheerful presence ready to sit with you in the trenches and celebrate your victories! I have tutored students in reading and writing from pre-k all the way to college. I have extensive knowledge in APA and MLA formats, resume writing, and creative writing. I have experience proofreading and editing everything from advertisements for Best Buy to personal memoirs. I am passionate about helping others, bringing a steady, patient hand to lessons.
