About Amina

I got my BBA in international business, a minor in psychology, and my pre-med courses from George Washington University. I was on the path to pursuing medicine, but life had other plans for me. Both my parents were diagnosed with cancer 3 months apart, and I took on the responsibility of taking care of them. One of my greatest achievements would be being able to take care of my parents. I switched gears but planned to tread in the healthcare industry and tutor sciences and math part-time at a private tutoring company. I believe that with my skill set and experience as a pre-med student and a tutor, I am best suited to tutoring sciences and math.

About the lesson

My tutoring strategy begins with an intensive interview with the parents and students. I then determine the student's learning style so that they can present information in the most effective manner. Chemistry is one of the most essential components of a successful tutor. I make an effort to develop meaningful relationships with students and their families. I am a caring and compassionate individual who is also organized and professional. It is essential for establishing a strong rapport with your students. I then determine which building blocks are missing from the student's knowledge foundation. Filling in these gaps establishes a solid foundation upon which they can build. I believe tutors should instill confidence in their students so that they perceive their abilities to be growing. When a student has self-assurance, their curiosity is piqued, and they are more likely to conduct research and ask questions about topics that intrigue their interest. I always strive to produce self-assured and self-reliant students who no longer need assistance, and so I teach them executive study skills that will serve them well in school and in life. Organization, task initiation, concentration, and time management are essential for being a successful learner. I make learning easy and enjoyable.
