About Zachary

My passion for programming began with curiosity about building functional solutions from logical steps and algorithms. This motivated me to pursue a B.Sc in Computer Science and an M.Sc in Information Technology, combining theoretical foundations with applied software expertise. Over 8 years of teaching, I have worked with students of all levels, from beginners writing their first programmes to advanced learners tackling software design, complex algorithms, and professional development projects.

I teach with patience, clarity, and engagement, combining structured explanations, interactive exercises, and project-based learning. I encourage exploration, independent problem-solving, and critical thinking, ensuring students understand not only how to code but also why solutions work. Lessons focus on building technical skills alongside analytical reasoning and creative problem-solving.

Outside teaching, I stay current with emerging technologies, programming languages, and software development trends. By incorporating real-world applications into lessons, students understand the relevance of programming beyond the classroom. Watching learners grow from uncertainty to confidence, gaining mastery, creativity, and independence, is deeply rewarding. I aim to empower students to excel academically while cultivating a lifelong passion for coding and problem-solving.

About the lesson

Programming is most effective when students understand not only the syntax but also the reasoning behind algorithms and software design. My lessons cover Python, Java, C++, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithmic problem-solving. I emphasise logical thinking, creativity, and structured problem decomposition over rote memorisation. Each lesson includes guided exercises, mini-projects, debugging practice, and real-world examples to foster practical skills, confidence, and engagement.

Lesson structure is adapted to each learner’s level. Beginners focus on syntax, loops, conditional statements, and small programmes to develop foundational skills. Intermediate learners tackle modular programming, functions, algorithm design, and debugging strategies to strengthen reasoning and applied problem-solving. Advanced learners explore complex algorithms, project architecture, optimisation, and full-scale applications, preparing for exams, research, or professional work. Each session combines hands-on practice, conceptual reinforcement, and personalised feedback to ensure deep understanding and long-term skill development.

Programming lessons cultivate analytical reasoning, structured thinking, and creative problem-solving. Students gain confidence in designing, debugging, and implementing solutions independently. My goal is to guide learners to mastery, fostering both technical competence and intellectual curiosity, enabling them to confidently tackle programming challenges in academic, professional, and personal projects.
