About Clay

My passion for programming began when I discovered the creative possibilities of software development. I completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science and later earned a PhD in Computer Engineering. Over the last 13 years, I have guided students through various programming languages and technical subjects.

I believe coding should be taught through understanding rather than memorisation. My teaching style emphasises practical learning, clear explanations, and personalised guidance. I work closely with students to help them develop both technical competence and confidence.

Outside education, I enjoy developing software projects and exploring emerging technologies. Keeping up with industry trends allows me to make lessons current and relevant. Helping students transform ideas into working programs remains one of the most rewarding parts of my profession.

About the lesson

My programming lessons help students understand how technology works by focusing on logical thinking and practical coding skills. We explore Python, Java, algorithms, databases, software design, and debugging through hands-on activities and real-world examples. I teach students how to approach problems methodically and create effective solutions.

Every lesson is customised to suit the learner's current level and objectives. Beginners focus on core programming concepts, while advanced students work on larger projects and more sophisticated development techniques. Regular coding exercises help reinforce understanding and improve confidence.

I aim to create a positive learning environment where experimentation and growth are encouraged. Students learn that mistakes are part of the learning process and valuable opportunities for improvement. My goal is to help learners become confident programmers who can adapt to new technologies.
