About Matt

My passion for programming began when I realised how powerful it is to create solutions from simple logical steps. This led me to complete a B.Tech in Computer Science and later an M.Sc in Software Development, where I explored both foundational coding and advanced computing systems. Over the past 8 years, I have guided students through programming challenges with patience, clarity, and structured encouragement.

My teaching style is supportive, practical, and adaptable. I break down difficult topics into simple steps, use real-world examples, and ensure learners understand the reasoning behind their code. I encourage students to ask questions freely and build confidence through hands-on practice.

Outside tutoring, I remain engaged with programming through personal projects, exploring new technologies, and continuous learning. Teaching programming is rewarding because I see learners transform from uncertain beginners into confident problem solvers. My goal is to help students succeed academically while gaining lifelong digital skills.

About the lesson

Programming becomes much more approachable when learners realise that code is simply a structured way of solving problems logically. In my lessons, I guide students through Python, Java, algorithms, data structures, object-oriented programming, and debugging with supportive explanation and hands-on practice. I focus on helping learners understand why solutions work, so they gain confidence rather than memorising patterns. Each session encourages experimentation, patience, and steady progress. My goal is to make programming empowering and accessible.

Lessons are always tailored to each learner’s level. Beginners explore variables, loops, conditions, and simple problem-solving structures. Intermediate students strengthen modular thinking, functions, debugging habits, and building larger programs. Advanced learners focus on algorithms, optimisation, APIs, project planning, and interview preparation. Every lesson includes practice exercises and feedback that reinforce understanding.

Programming lessons also build creativity, analytical thinking, and resilience. Students learn to break complex challenges into manageable steps and trust their reasoning. Many feel excited when they see their ideas come to life through working programs. My mission is to help learners gain lifelong confidence as independent creators in technology.
