About Arlen

My passion for programming started when I discovered how logic can create powerful digital tools. I completed an M.Sc in Computer Science, which gave me deeper understanding of software systems, algorithms, and computational thinking. Over 12 years of teaching experience, I have guided students from complete beginners to confident developers through structured and encouraging support.

I believe coding should be taught with patience and clarity. My tutoring approach focuses on breaking complex ideas into manageable steps and helping students understand why solutions work. I enjoy supporting learners who want to build strong foundations as well as those preparing for advanced academic or career goals. Each session is adapted to the student’s learning pace and interests.

Outside tutoring, I continue exploring programming through new technologies, project design, and ongoing learning. Teaching programming is fulfilling because students gain a skill that opens endless opportunities. Watching learners transform from uncertainty into confident creators is one of the greatest rewards of my work.

About the lesson

Programming becomes exciting when students realise it is a way to turn ideas into working solutions through logic and creativity. In my lessons, learners build strong foundations in coding concepts such as variables, loops, functions, algorithms, and structured thinking. I focus on helping students understand how programmes work step by step, so coding feels approachable rather than overwhelming. Sessions are supportive, interactive, and designed to encourage experimentation without fear of mistakes.

Lesson plans are adjusted to each student’s stage. Beginners explore the basics of Python or Java through small projects and clear reasoning. Intermediate learners strengthen their skills in debugging, object-oriented design, data structures, and writing cleaner code. Advanced students focus on algorithm efficiency, project development, APIs, and interview or exam preparation. Practice is always hands-on, allowing students to build confidence through real coding tasks.

Programming teaches resilience, creativity, and strong analytical habits. Many learners feel empowered when they see their code produce real outcomes. My goal is to help students become confident problem-solvers who can think independently, build meaningful projects, and enjoy the process of learning modern technology.
