About Robert
I am currently an adjunct professor who has a masters in philosophy and a bachelors in history. I have experience teaching and tutoring mostly philosophy. I have tutored both single individuals and larger groups. My teaching also has involved large groups of 20-30 students. I previously tutored student-athletes at Boston College and now teach introductory philosophy courses at the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga.

My teaching method is a cultivated mixture of (1) personal engagement oriented to the growth of the student with them questioning and thinking about the topics; and (2) also ensuring they learn and grasp the significance of the bigger picture and trajectory of the themes of the course. I do this by presenting an outline of the course, engaging with the text, questioning the significance of the arguments made in the text, and facilitate dialogue between the students and myself. Most importantly, if the student is not engaged and shown why something is important then they will not succeed as they could. This is my primary aim.
