About Jorge

I have been working for 19 years as a professor at the public (interim) level, arranged or private since the year 99 and private classes about 14. I have had many groups of elementary students in schools and about 30 in the second (private). I can say that the degree of success has been quite high (proportion of support materials imparted and approved). Not less than 80% (without having all the data noted, I estimate that it will have been 85% (not exact at all but I think very approximate). So, the degree of success has almost always been linked to time and regularity in classes at the end of the year or summer.

About the lesson

My methodology is very variable. There are many and I do not "marry" any particular, although there are some more frequently used in my classes. The first thing is usually 1/5 conversation, 1/4 of the explanation class with drill exercises, the rest of the time being very "elastic", so there is no one or two activities to do in that time; I use short games, some music (sometimes even if circumstances permit, I use karaoke as an effective tool (1/5) or "role plays" as "drama" to introduce in each session. I also introduce little by little "social language" (words, phrases and typical expressions), especially in those games that most like each age group (there are dozens of them very attractive, although if I can afford it, use are those related to Total Physical Response, based on the commands / commands, this is the use of the imperative.) Finally, when I introduce grammar, I try to do what I call "Spanish snacks"; phrase or expression in English, then without time, I say it in Castilian and again in English, so that the student associates more and more the meaning of each one of them.
