About Zara

I am a voice actor, trained in linguistics and specialising in UK, US and Australian English dialects.

I have decades of experience working and speaking in various dialects of English, and I have lived in Hong Kong and worked as an ESL teacher for 10 years.

I believe confidence in our ability to communicate is so important, and my teaching philosophy is fun, friendly and supportive!

About the lesson

Are you ready to be better understood?

I am here to assist students who speak advanced level English- that is, conversational level English, to speak more confidently and become easier to understand.

I specialize in accent training, as sometimes it can be tricky when learning English to gain a neutral accent!

I want you to feel proud of your communication skills, and we will use a mixture of vocabulary, themed conversations, and linguistic and phonetic breakdowns, to get you to a place where your English is as perfect as someone who has lived in the UK or USA for 20 years!

Online lessons are $55,
Locally to me in Brooklyn (bed stuy/crown heights) meeting in a cafe $75
And for me to come to you in manhattan or similar, $100 (more if over 45 minutes travel time)
