About Lou
With 10 years of experience in violin teaching, I have worked with students from different age groups and learning levels, including beginners and advanced learners. I teach school students, college learners, and working professionals, guiding them step by step in their musical journey. My teaching philosophy focuses on understanding each student’s needs and providing personalised guidance.
I believe that learning violin should be comfortable, clear, and enjoyable. I start by strengthening the basics such as posture, bowing technique, rhythm, and note reading, and then gradually introduce advanced lessons based on the student’s progress. I also include exercises that help improve coordination, tone, and consistency.
I have successfully trained more than 150 students, many of whom have shown great improvement in both skill and confidence. I maintain a positive and motivating environment where students feel encouraged to practise regularly. My aim is to make violin learning simple, structured, and rewarding.

I believe violin learning should be easy, meaningful, and engaging, so I use real-life examples and simple case studies to explain musical concepts in a practical way. This helps students connect theory with real playing situations and understand better.
I focus on strong basics such as posture, bowing techniques, scales, and tone quality, ensuring students build a solid foundation before progressing. I teach patiently and make sure each concept is clearly understood.
Communication plays a key role in my teaching, and I create a friendly environment where students feel comfortable asking questions. I provide regular feedback and guidance to help them improve.
I follow integrity by being honest, supportive, and dedicated. Along with violin, I also teach music theory, rhythm training, ear training, and sight reading.
