About John
Hi. I am a qualified teacher of piano and German. I have a degree in Piano Performance with German language and I also am a qualified teacher with a PGCE. You will scales and arpeggios and your way around the piano at first and then you will move on to learning pieces for your practical exams. We will then look at different styles of music such as the Baroque (Bach, Handel),Classical (Beethoven, Mozart) and 20th Century (Debussy, Rachmaninov) music. You will be taught in a fun way so that you remember what you have learned. I am a concert pianist by training, so you are in good hands!
For German, I will teach you basic vocabulary required for your GCSE and we will look at how German is similar and different to English grammar. I will teach you how to use German grammar in a fun, memorable way. I will also teach you how to pronounce German words so if you come across an unfamiliar work, you will be able to pronounce it correctly.
