About Leigh

I have spent the last 14+ years helping High School and College students achieve their Spanish learning goals through personalised teaching. I believe successful learning begins with understanding each student's abilities and designing lessons that support their individual development. My goal is to create a positive learning experience where students feel confident, motivated, and eager to improve.

My teaching includes grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, reading, writing, listening, speaking, and conversational Spanish. I explain lessons clearly, provide practical examples, and encourage students to use Spanish through discussions and everyday communication activities. This approach helps students develop both academic knowledge and practical language skills.

One of my greatest strengths is creating a supportive classroom where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning from mistakes. I provide personalised feedback, flexible lesson planning, and continuous encouragement that help learners overcome challenges while staying motivated.

I also introduce students to Spanish-speaking cultures by discussing traditions, customs, history, and authentic expressions. This cultural awareness enriches the learning experience while strengthening communication skills.

My commitment to personalised learning allows me to help students prepare for exams, improve classroom performance, and develop lifelong language skills. I am passionate about helping every learner become a confident and capable Spanish speaker.

About the lesson

My teaching approach for Spanish is based on motivation, clear communication, creativity, and strong time management. I believe that students learn best when they feel encouraged and confident, so I always create a positive and friendly learning environment.

I motivate my students by setting small, achievable goals and celebrating their progress regularly. Communication is at the heart of my teaching, so I focus on speaking and listening activities that help students use Spanish in real-life situations. I also use creative methods like role-plays, storytelling, games, and visual aids to make lessons interesting and easy to understand.

Time management is very important in my classes, so each session is well-planned with a balance of grammar, vocabulary, and practice. I make sure students use their time effectively and stay consistent in their learning.

Along with Spanish, I can also support related subjects like basic grammar, pronunciation skills, and language learning strategies to help students improve faster. My goal is to make learning Spanish simple, enjoyable, and practical for every student.
