About Jonathan

I am 26 years old from South Africa. I have a degree in Psychology and Geography and a Post Graduate in Teaching. I first started playing Guitar at the age of 16 and just fell in love with it. I then moved onto songwriting, singing and performing and my love grew. I took to learning other instruments and styles and continue to push myself in the world of music. I have since released 2 songs on Spotify ( Jono Maitre ). I am now travelling but am still teaching lessons. Let me know your times available and we will make a plan!!

About the lesson

I excel at teaching beginner guitar as I help the students fall in love with the instrument. No more dusty guitar coursebooks followed to the letter!! I teach songs and styles that are of interest to my students and can even teach with a language barrier. I teach all ages from children to adults and have been teaching for a few years and the past year online. Lessons are generally 45 minutes to an hour as 30 minutes is too rushed. I am easy to talk to and a flexible person who takes great pride in seeing my students improve. I can also help with songwriting and singing. Singing is essential as it helps us keep time with music and the feel of the song. I have 2 songs on Spotify ( Jono Maitre) so I understand the essence of songwriting.
