About Marie
My name is Marie, I am a professional singer and passionate about music since I was little. I sang with many groups in France, the United States and South America. I also studied jazz and lyrical singing at the Nancy Conservatory and then I went to study at Berklee College of Music in Boston for 4 years. I taught singing and vocal technique to students of all ages in France at the Charles Boquet music school and at the Rock School then with Bilingual Compagnie in New York. I teach students of all levels and in many styles (jazz, lyric, pop, soul). My specialties are singing, developing your technique, jazz and improvisation.

For me it is important to know the motivations, expectations and background of my students. Also what type of directory they would like to work in in order to meet their needs and help them achieve their goals. At the start of the class we work on vocal warm-ups, breathing exercises and vocalizations. You can also do scat and rhythm exercises. Then we focus on a song from the repertoire. We are interested in the technical part (find the tone adapted to his voice, work on the rhythm and the melody, the projection, the pronunciation, where to breathe ...) and the emotional part (the meaning of the words, the nuances , the presence..). Thanks to my professional and personal experiences, I help my students to explore their voice, to create a solid technique and to develop their confidence. My little "extras": I send you your vocalizations by email and all our work sheets.
